Evomat® EVO 501

  • Brush technology

Four durable linear brushes (type Quadro R6) manufactured in-house wipe across the blanks. The front and rear brush pairs wipe in opposite directions (“counter wiping”).

  • Conveyor technology

The transport rollers at the bottom and double pressure rollers on top convey the blanks through the cleaning unit in a stable position. The transport speed of the blanks is continuously adjustable.

  • Mobile Panel

The Evomat® EVO 501 is operated via the integrated control cabinet or, optionally, via a mobile control device with touch screen. The mobile panel is particularly useful for maintenance work.

  • All-in-one with trolley

A roller conveyor, a suction system with filter and a control cabinet make the Evomat® a complete solution. With a trolley as an option, the entire cleaning system can be easily removed from the line for maintenance work.

    Counter Wiping

The front and rear Sword Brush® wipes across the blank surface in opposite directions. This “counter wiping” balances the wiping forces and enables the blanks to be transported in a precisely controlled position. At the same time, the cleaning effect is improved by the counter wiping motion.

    Thermal self-cleaning

In the self-cleaning unit, racks and compressed air nozzles continuously clean the linear brushes mechanically and pneumatically. Ingromat® contributes to the complete regeneration of the linear brush. To make dry lubricant (hot melt) flowable, the deflection and extraction area is heated with optional heating elements.

    Pressure buffer

The contact area of the linear brush is flexibly bedded on a pneumatically regulated pressure buffer. This means that the brush filaments always touch the surface in a vertical position without any overbending, thus providing for a consistent wiping pressure. Optimal cleaning results are guaranteed. Metal blanks of varying thickness, for instance tailored blanks, can be transported through the cleaning system without readjustment as the pressure buffer compensates for differences in material thickness of up to +/- 2 mm.

    Crash protection

In case a crash situation is detected, for instance damaged blanks, the mechanical crash seesaw will be triggered. A quick adjustment feature promptly propels the upper cleaning module into a safe position. A collision with the cleaning installation and resulting damage or time-consuming disruption to machine availability can thus be avoided.
