Glass Cleaning
Clean flat glass surfaces are a key quality requirement and a necessary condition for smooth production processes. Effective cleaning improves surface quality, reduces the scrap rate, and often prevents costly machine downtime. Wandres’ compact cleaning systems can be easily integrated into existing production lines and are in continuous use at many stages of the production process: The Tornado Channel removes release powder from glass surfaces without contact, reducing the load on subsequent washing machines or replacing them entirely. Before printing or coating, the Sword Brush® removes particles that would otherwise cause visible defects. Before video inspection, reliable cleaning prevents false positives caused by particles. Before stacking, residues are removed from the underside of the glass to protect the sensitive glass surface.

Removal of interleaving powder using linear brushes
A brush cleaning process removes any interleaving powder still clinging to the glass surface after destacking and facilitates washing processes further downstream significantly.
-
Contactless removal of interleaving powder
Interleaving powder can be removed effectively from glass surfaces using air technology. This will considerably reduce the accumulation of microplastics in the wash.
-
Wet Processes
A brush cleaning process removes glass chips, grinding dust and water after cutting or grinding processes, drying the surface of the glass at the same time.

Before Screen Printing
Removing fine dust particles from the surface of the glass before printing, reducing electrostatic charges and improving surface tension.
