A special Combi Sword Brush has been developed specifically for cleaning chipboard which has a surface finish, prior to camera inspection. Four Sword Brushes remove edge strips, debris, particles and dust. The linear brushes have tactile control elements that are bedded flexibly and compensate bursts in the decorative coating, a feature that allows a perfect adjustment to the surface. If the panels stop, a pneumatic short stroke lifts the surfaces from the surface. If there are larger bursts on the surface, the brushes are rapidly moved into a safe position. If particles from an open edge area drop on the panel surface again at the outfeed of the machine, they may be absorbed by the Trans-Vac-Unit TKL 46 that is available as an option.
